Someone has been out round the Forest nicking ponies' legs!!

Headed off to walk the figure 8 cycle track route by Janesmoor pond today. Did the first bit, got to the gateway into the second copse and there was a big sign up saying it was closed for felling. Luckily I had actually remembered the map, so carried on on an alternative route. When we got back to the car I was surprised to see my pedometer said just over 14km, given I'd only been walking 1 hour 40 mins. Turns out the small one had been fiddling and had altered my stride length to 120cm! Using good old fashioned string and the map, I worked out it was *actually* about 6 and a quarter miles.
