Red Cherry-Picker

Back to clouds and distant haze in Paris--and colder (8C). This is a view southwards down Rue des Peupliers from our fourth-floor apartment, featuring a bright-red cherry picker that set up this morning.

I did not have a chance to day to find out what it is doing, but I'll try to enquire tomorrow. A somewhat broader night view is here, with other links.

Watching the traffic of cars, trucks, busses (#57), and (not least) pedestrians on the street is a source of endless fascination. The traffic circle in the middle distance is the Place de l'Abbé Georges Hénoque, with a children's play area in the middle (recently totally renovated). Canal + filmed an episode from a telefilm there recently.
