My little companions

I had a fright this morning. I was getting ready for work, when the bracelet I was wearing caught my necklace and bent one of the little birds right over, almost but not quite snapping it off. This necklace is very dear to me. I bought it about 18 months ago when I was going through a tough period, and the little birds have been my constant companions ever since, reminding me to treasure the simple things in life and to look to the future - sounds silly right? I'm too scared to wear it now in case it breaks completely, so thought I would save it here, in case I ever need my little birds again in the future.
