Dawn of a new era

Today the girls had their first morning training session, which started at 6.10am. It was a beautiful morning at Portobello which made it not seem too much of an ordeal. This is something of an experiment as the club has rejigged the training schedule.

Kitty and Gigi were keen to give it a go, so we will see how we get on.

Once I got to the pool, there were a couple of lanes open for public swimming, so I could have had a dip myself, or, given the lovely morning, gone for a run. Instead I sat in the warmth with a mug of tea, switched my iPod to shuffle and read a bit more of Kate Atkinson's excellent Started Early, Took My Dog. Next Thursday I will swim or run. Probably.
