Fort Fisher
A few miles south of Wilmington the land narrows and forms a peninsula. On the west side is the Cape Fear River and on the east side is the Atlantic Ocean. Fort Fisher was a southern fort used during the American Civil War.
There are several groves of trees on the ocean side that have grown kind of slanted. I'm assuming it's due to the constant ocean wind and the hurricanes that occasionally strike the east coast of the US. I thought they were interesting so here is one grove of weird trees.
