The Mesmerist & The Mesmerised
A busy, busy day, but I just had to take a break around 4.30 and get out for a walk and away from the pooter.
I went in to town for a change, thinking that perhaps there'd be some craic going on as a lead-up to Paddy's Day. There were lots of mad eejits with silly green hats on, and there was a stage set up in Stephen's Green with diddly-eye music going on and Irish dancing and suchlike (both on the stage and in the street in a fashion). All a bit half-hearted, really, and not much real atmosphere. Maybe there'll be better festival stuff tomorrow for the actual day.
In the mean time, this was the best of the day in terms of what found its way into the camera. I don't know if this guy with the bubbles was a busker or a performer or even if he expected people to give him money, but the guy in the yellow jacket was certainly under his spell.
After a bit of an abortive browse in Hodges Figgis bookshop it was time to head back home to be around to accept my census form, to have a bite to eat, and to do some more work.
