Sunny Days
From the sounds of things, we were about the only part of the country to have clear blue skies all day - my car read 17C as I drove over to Redruth at lunchtime! I keep meaning to blip the Redruth sign - it makes me chuckle every time I see it. Unfortunately, I am generally trying to find my way to somewhere new and have passed it before I think to stop and snap it.
This is Penmere Station, just up the road from us. One of the things on our list when we were house hunting was a train line at the bottom of the garden. It wasn't especially high on the list, but it was there. Anyway, by luck we have ended up with a trainline at the bottom of the garden (as well as the fire station 4 doors away...). There is a footpath across the track between us and the station so the train has to toot as it goes past us to warn anyone crossing up ahead.
I was there because Ally went on a school trip to the museum in Truro by train (which was Ally's best bit). He is learning about the Egyptians so they went to look at the Mummy/Skeleton and "do games and stuff". I love how he is so forthcoming...
