Almost missed them !!

As all the snow has melted, unthinkable a few days ago, I put on the trusted wellies and wandered down to the pond.

It was impossible not to make all sorts of squelching sounds in the mud and the sodden ground so I didn't see and then disturbed this pair who were probably looking for a nesting site in the reeds on the far side of the pond..

Managed to get a shot off, but will stay away from the pond now so that they can nest in peace !!!!!
