No shyness here

I love the boldness of these yellow daffodils. I take delight in how courageous they are to just leap forward from the earth with such a robust and energetic attempt to convince Spring to arrive. It appears that one of them has already seen the unfortunate future of a pest nipping away at its delicate petals. I guess this has to be the fate of some for the life sake of others.
