Col du Climpy

What a superb cycle i've just had. Left Edinburgh with a blanket of fog at 08:30 and headed west through Kirkliston, Linlithgow, Avonbridge, Caldercruix, Shotts, Harthill, Woolford, East Calder and home. As I left Linlithgow the weather improved dramatically and it was shorts and short sleeves for the remainder of the ride, although it did get a bit chilly on the higher parts near Forrestfield where there was still snow lying on the ground. It was a day of lots of misty panoramas. The condition of the roads was appauling especially around the Shotts area where it was almost unrideable on occasions. Now I'm home my hands are still a bit numb after all the vibration through the handlebars - such is the joy of skinny tyres at 120psi!
