A change is as good as a rest

Today I did something that I haven't done in over 12 years. It went a lot better than I expected but you don't get to know what it is I've been up to, until after the weekend.

On my way home, in the rain (it's amazing how quickly the weather is changing from day to day at the minute) I stopped to get a shot of the rainy canal.

In other news:

I got a call today from the Edinburgh Garden Share Scheme. They've finally managed to get in touch with my garden owner. They are still wanting their garden used but had been unable to get up to answer the phone. I have a meeting with her on Friday. If everyone's happy I can have the garden. However, the scheme changes hands at the end of March due to running out of funding so if I chose to begin gardening straight away, I won't be insured or have any staff to contact if there are any problems. I'll probably start seeds off at home in the hope that by the time they're big enough to plant out, funding will have been sorted and I can go ahead with my garden.
