The answer to life the universe and everything

I spent today, not with workmates, nor with children, I spent it with Madame, as it was her birthday. It was horrible weather but we walked and talked and laughed and joked, went to see a couple of art exhibitions (a great exhibition by young offenders and artists and French drawings and watercolours, both very inspiring), went round various antique shops and some other shops and had a lovely meal in a very nice restaurant.

We used to spend so much time like this, wandering, chatting, going to the cinema, but like many people, jobs and children and other responsabilities kind of push that nice time out the diary. We are quietly edging those things back in.

A great day and this would be the soundtrack. Incidentally I was wearing the same black outfit as the fellow up the back today.
