Male Pileated Woodpecker
I took my canon lens back to the shop to see why everything is blurred. Still don't think we have found the problem.
I did not have a lot of time out in the yard today so I had shot the Northern Parula and it's mate or juvenile. The little one was breathtaking it's entire belly was a bright yellow and so tiny. I will have to do a little research to see if it was a female or a juvenile. Save that for later.
Thank you for all that posted comments I have not gotten to all of them yet.
It is tax season here and my hubby is on the computer a lot so I don't get lot of time and when I do my neck starts yelling at me.
Well I had some old logs from a dead tree that I had left hoping the Pileated Woodpeckers would come and see me. I was sitting there and all of sudden I looked up and look what dropped out of the sky for me. I didn't dare hoop and holler afraid I would scare him off. What a beauty he is and he stayed a good while but my father in law came out his door and scared him. I can't complain I got plenty of good blips of him.
I will write about him later. He is the largest Woodpecker in North America.
