Ceci nest pas une homme

I had a training day in Manchester so today's blip was taken just around the corner from Victoria station rather than my usual blipping ground of Bradford.

The reason for my title today 'Ceci nest pas une homme' is that I've always been a fan of the french surrealist painter Rene Magritte, especially his anonymous bowler hatted men.

I love the one where they fall from the sky and immediately start humming 'it's raining men hallelujah!' in my head when I see it!

One of Magritte's more famous works is a painting of a pipe with the title 'Ceci nest pas une pipe' meaning 'This is not a pipe'. I believe he was making a point about the obvious but overlooked fact that our representations of reality are not reality.

So this is not a man it's a photograph in fact it's not even that currently no doubt it's just pixels on your screen and ultimately just 1's and 0's, just energy, (like us all) in fact it hardly exists at all lol
