Red Pond in the Woods

Just around the corner from my house, I spotted this run-off pond and the water appears red; it's most likely some form of algae growing on the surface. Here on the Central Coast of California-----earthquake weather is what the locals are saying--- balmy and warm and no wind. Hope not..... ;-( ...my heartfelt prayers go out to all the Japanese people struggling to deal with the multiple disasters!!
