Good Things
Steak Pie and HP Sauce. With an Irish twist.
And it's feckin' delicious so it is.
I was dubious at first. Samantha's delicious home-made pie was indeed tasty on its own, the mashed tatties were a buttery marvel, and the carrots sweet and juicy but a fairly large squirt of this stuff was an intriguing addition to the overall culinary experience. Guinness is indeed good for you.
Hopefully it'll revive Euan who was off school on a sicky today. I'm kind of torn over this, because it did mean (as Samantha took the day off) there was an excellent meal for tea along with fresh baked bread and choc-chip and pecan cookies (not all on the same plate, and not all squirted with HP & Guinness). But on the other hand, the poor wee man's looking fairly sorry for himself - he's not been near the PS3 all day and didn't protest when he had to watch one of his mum's DVD box sets. Definitely not well.
A bit of a cosmopolitan condiment this one though; the very English HP Sauce flavoured by the extremely Irish Guinness. Made in the Netherlands though.
