Body Art/ Procrastinating

This is the full extent of my body- art 4th period in school when I couldn't face my biology or chemistry investigations any longer.
I started off with my name and date of birth along my wrist then 'shhh' down the length of my index finger. I tried a creation a la Cheryl Cole on the inside of my hand, pretty flowers and the like.
I do like artistic tattoos and I find it sweet when people get the initials of a loved one/ child etc but I don't know if I would still find it as attractive say- 70 years on... I barely like a certain hairstyle for more than 6 months never- mind the same ink on my body for years on end.
If I was to get one, I reckon it would be somewhere secretive, as a personal symbol of something or other. I'm not sure if its a particularly good idea 6 months prior to starting med- school anyway. (On top of my dad going nuts!)
Because lets face it- who wants their GP to be telling them to 'shhh' before you even get a chance to open your mouth? Although I'll bet you there's a fair few doctors with ink in places other than their patients files. You'll never look at your GP in the same way again:-)
