No 53 Black-headed gull

No 53 refers, of course, to my bird blip tally, not the blip number. This morning, once I had replaced the tyre I managed to shred on Saturday, I drove out to Damflask Reservoir, to the north west of Sheffield. It's a popular spot with fishermen (S. bank), rowers (N. bank) and walkers, as it has a well maintained footpath all the way round. The birds there are very tame, as lots of walkers leave food for them, so it's eay to get close-ups. This gull (my first gull blip) was sunning himself on the dam outlet wall.
