Guo Bao Rou
Guo Bao Rou is a type of battered pork with a sweet and tangy light sauce mixed in with it. It's a favorite dish of many people. Just ask Kev O.
The pork is lightly battered then deep fried. Then it's tossed in a bowl with a sauce which consists of vinegar, sugar, salt and a few other things. I love the sweet and savory flavor of sugar and vinegar. However, I'm a veggie head now so I no longer enjoy what used to be my favorite dish...but, there are always slivers of carrots, cilantro, ginger and onions in the sauce that I can enjoy on my rice.
This picture tripped me out and I had an image in my mind of a story I could write about the world's largest chopsticks picking up the world's largest piece of guo bao rou...I do have an over active imagination.
The chopsticks just looked like a crane as I picked up the guo bao rou by this amazingly well anchored and strong piece of cilantro.
This was a big dinner party we had in honor of two of our teachers who are leaving.
