Time for quiet prayer and reflection.
Our church had a 24 hour prayer vigil from 9am on Saturday to 9am on Sunday, we had the 8am - 9am on Sunday slot where we spent time in prayer for the world, our community, our church, our leaders, our family, ourselves and whatever else God put into our hearts. (http://uk.24-7prayer.com)
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Mark:24, 25.
1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ?Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.?
Luke 11:1-9
9. This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew6:9-15.
