Weigh 2 eggs in their shells match that weight for the butter,sugar and self raising flour (cream together sugar and butter then beat in the eggs and finally the flour.
Add vanilla essence and spoon over 3 large bramley apples that you have cut onto chunks and semi stewed with 3 heaped tbs sugar earlier
Bake till sponge has risen
Yummy served with cream
