Turning over a new leaf ...

Went to visit a friend in Sutton Veny this afternoon. As it was such a lovely afternoon we wandered around his garden to see how the plants and trees were progressing. I was particularly interested in the apple trees, as we'd just been into Trowbridge and passed a cherry tree in full blossom and I wanted to see if there was any blossom on his trees.

As I thought, I was a bit too optimistic! This is a shot of the new shoots on one of his apple trees. No sign of blossom just yet. Later in the year, all being well, we'll be getting some apples from him as we did last year.

When we got home, Sav made a scrummy apple and raspberry crumble using some of the apples we got last year that I'd stewed and frozen. Deee-licious!
