Troll beads
Searching for inspiration for my blip today. As with most weekends I'm not up to much and when am out I forget my camera! As you can see my search led me no further to the end of my wrist!
This is my troll bead bracelet. There are no Pandora, hot beads or any other knockoff beads on it. It's fully authentic troll! Sorry if I sound like a snob but I had mine before they were popular (always the way) and when people see it they have seen so many other "brands" of beads.
To me there is no contest. These are beautifully handmade sterling silver and Italian glass beads. Troll beads have been being made in Denmark since 1976!! *DEEP BREATH* Rant over! :P
I got my bracelet for my 21st birthday. I had the lock, band and the round silver bead with the star. I wanted all my beads to mean something to me. If you see how many there are out there you can imagine how hard it is to pick them. It's been three years now I've been collecting (quick do the math! Yes I'll be 24 this year!). Nearly all my silver beads were given to me by my man. I have received beads for all the major occasions. The snails are called "snails in love" as there is a mirror of it on the other side and they look as though they are kissing, I got them for Valentine's Day. I picked them because the word on the sight describing them said "Hurry slowly when love burns bright and your heart is bursting with tenderness". The scroll I got for our two year anniversary and it has beautiful words engraved on it. I lovely and sweet surprise from my man. The ugly duckling at the front is just how I feel out myself. Still waiting to become a swan. My lucky dragon there is one of the first I received. I wanted some luck for in exams at university, he appears to have worked! The polar bear I got this Christmas, he's got the most gorgeous little feet. On the far right is the mortar cap and book I got when I graduated last year.
The photo doesn't really do it enough justice; I'm totally in love with all my beads. I wanted to write about them to give a little insight into me! Not sure it's worked. I think this reads a bit like a school report!! Oh well at least it's a little cheerier than usual!
