Chinese Elvis Tribute

Arrived in Qingdao tonight after a busy day in Beijing interviewing potential students - hordes of the them. All of which was fun. Then to the airport through Beijing's choking traffic to the airport, and a brief, if interesting flight to Qingdao.

I hit the hotel bar with some colleagues and it seems it is the anniversary of Elvis' birth today. And as such, the hotel band, called 'Plug and Play' were doing an Elvis tribute, mixed with R&B. As hotel bands go, they weren't that bad - ok to sink a couple of Tsing Tao beers to - but the frontman really wasn't Elvis - too short, too rotund and too punk haired. ..

Photo is a little grainy, even at 1600 ISO and f/1.8 lens - but captures him in full flow sinking to some girls while cribbing the lyrics!
