Swollen Shenandoah

Stopped in Harper's Ferry today in an attempt to get a few shots of the river. It is not as bad as I've seen it in the past but it is still swollen. The spot where I am is a favorite for college kids and swimmers in the summer months. The waves are crashing over rocks where people sit an sunbathe.

It seems silly and selfish to shoot this when people in Japan are suffering from the devastating tsunami. Still, this is the world seen through my eyes. I would be taking pictures of the devastation if I were in Japan. Not to exploit it, just to capture the images.
