Green man

A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing, or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or "renaissance," representing the cycle of growth each spring.

This chap hangs in my kitchen, where i'm hastily grabbing some food, and as we ease (slowly) out of winter i thought i would mark the change of season by his appearance on my journal. Apart from anything else i haven't had a chance for daylight again today. Hopefully that will be rectified tomorrow.
