Red and yellow

Flowers reminding us
winter will not last forever
remind us of our flower loving grandmothers,
aunts or others who like fine form
and spectacular colors.

Flowers I tell him
are a waste of money
bring me chocolate instead.

But oh so pretty,
such splendid life
and yet these were hand made
and not natures children!
