Gliding

As I walked through the sleet to work, I had heard of events unfolding in Japan, such a tragedy on a scale it is difficult to contemplate. Once again trivialities like woes at work, traffic jams are put into a shallow insignificance. I saw this swan, calmly gliding towards me and it reminded of the peace and tranquility I often associate with Japanese culture.
