Barb and Jasmine
Every Thursday, we have a crone circle in my dance studio. Every week we explore our lives in the present moment and how it relates to our chosen topic of discussion.
Our group is composed of women from age 50 to 75, and they are each amazing, each on an incredible spiritual journey and each very fun in their own way. We start out with a bit of exercise and dance before our discussion. Then, we pass a ring much like the tradition of a native American talking stick, and each person speaks without interruption then we open it to general discussion about our topic.
This week, Barb came early, and she was thrilled to have the experience of holding a large snake for the first time. You can see exactly how she feels from the glowing smile in this photo,
Jasmine is a ball python, and she is a very loving and gentle soul. Some people are terrified of snakes, and many have overcome this terror with the help of Jasmine and my wonderful companion Cleo who passed over a few years ago.
Not all snakes are as evolved as these two pythons. In fact, Amazon, another ball python I had, was a real snarky snake, and I adopted her out to one of my students.
Jasmine is my symbol of unconditional love. Dogs can bark and wag their tails to show you their love, and cats purr and rub on your leg. Jasmine just loves! There is nothing like it.
