Chilly and Bright

Woke up to another very snowy morning. So raw and cold, but once the showers had passed it was lovely and sunny. The sea was sparkling and the waves breaking white and foamy on the snowy shore. Seeing the sky so clear and blue was our cue to head out for a walk, lovely and exhilarating and actually quite warm in the sun!

Got home just in time to take a "cut and come again" cake - Granny's fruit cake - out of the oven. Takes about 1hr 20mins to bake, perfect timing for a snowy walk!
