This is Castle Rock up on the Port Hills. It's taken a bit of a beating.
My Mum used to walk up there with her family as a constitutional every Christmas day. I don't think she would recognise it. From this side it doesn't look much different although all the classic rock climbs on it are munted.
Compared with THIS, taken last year. Quite a few chips have rolled off the old block. Most on the left side of it and out of this picture.
Today was a grey day but that's what I felt like taking a picture of. I decided black and white would cover a multitude of sins, or at least look more like serious photography. It's a serious business.
