La Fuentona (The big fountain)

This is the Ruente´s Big Fountain.

The legend says that an Anjana (a fairy) lived inside this fountain and sometimes she made the water dissappear.

Nowadays it is still a mistery why this fountain stops pouring water several times during the last century (about twenty times). Even the Romans told about it, Plinio did it in the 1st century after Christ.
