Barnwell
Been meaning to photograph this for months and it caught my eye on the way to work this morning. It is part of the memorial erected to the Barnwell Brothers, who were responsible, in 1909, for the first powered flight in Scotland. A Causewayhead claim to fame.
It is also a daily reminder, not that I need one, of my Dad who coordinated the project to have this memorial put in place.
The sculpture is the work of Cliff Bowen of the Glasgow School of Art. Sky was a bit menacing behind it, but still looks good.
