Beckford's Tower

The morning started with a drama: whilst showering I heard a great crash and was just in time to see the marquee lift itself out of our garden and land in next doors rather smart, laid out like Versailles, garden. There was no action from them so I guessed they were out. I'm amazed that the whole structure stayed together but it did and acted rather like a parachute.
Luckily 'Tony from up the road' had a key and between us we were able to dismantle the whole thing and untangle it from various shrubs. Jane was very
understanding when she got home and found us in her garden. I'll kill Chris when he gets home as I asked him to take it down last night!

Obviously too windy for cycling so those legs will have to wait but it did mean that Tizzy got an extra long walk to Beckford's Tower. The wind at the top was extraordinary but quite exhilarating. Think I deserve the rest of the day in front of the fire with a good book.
