Garage Sale
Somewhat frustrating day today. Trying to make some sense of yesterdays meeting and where to from here. Some work ahead.
And then a computer setup, we lost several in the quake and are replacing a number of machines with laptops. Why HP insists on shipping Win 7 Pro with 32 bit instead of 64, who knows. Requires a complete reformat. Crazy. And good news. I got my lens back today, $400 repair.
And then at 6, home. Via a house that I pass every day. Well, it's more rubble these days. Actually, I went to photograph a different house. It's a category 3 historic home that is now 1 level (used to be 2) and is due for demolition, the order just came through. Instead I shot this house next door. Garage sale? Some bricks maybe?
Just also noticed that 114 central city buildings are slated for demolition, 47 completed, and quite a few to go. Some of them rather large I expect.
But on a sad note ... Hilary attended the funeral of a friend today. Seems like she was in her car in the central city when the front fell off a building. A large and amazing funeral and a true celebration. 43, two kids, amazing wife and mother, a true love of life and an inspiration. Rest in peace Lisa.
