St Paul's Cathedral

In London this morning with time to drop into St Paul's. Of course it is Ash Wednesday so the visit (free today) was accompanied by some magnificent organ music and the full choir (in school uniform because presumaby they all had to go back to lessons) singing beautifully.

With the sun pouring in the windows, the atmosphere was just amazing.

This is the fourth cathedral building to stand on this site. This, of course, is Christopher Wren's great work - and the first service here was held in 1697.
