The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin
I've frequently driven past this little local church and thought about photographing it's unusual entrance (a covered archway). However, when I did stop today I realised that there is no way of getting a good image without standing in the middle of the road. So I wandered around the exterior of the church (12th century), which is built on an ancient Saxon burial ground, and captured this side view, minus the tower.
This morning I met up with my good friend Juliette, who I have not seen for some time. Over 2 cups of coffee and a couple of biscuits, we had a good natter and caught up with each other. Note to self: Do not leave it so long next time!
