Westward Ho

A sunny day with continued thawing. Although there is virtually no snow left in the city and much of it has melted here in the past couple of days, we still have up to a foot or so in shady and north-facing places. My daughter recalled her last hike to Castle Rock, a huge outcropping in the middle of the woods, and was determined to go there today. To her credit, the snow didn't slow her down as she blazed her own trail toward the afternoon sun. In fact, I was the one barely keeping up.
