Olde Toll Tea House
I might not be religious but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy pancakes on Throve Tuesday (or any other day for that!), so off we went to the Olde Toll Tea House in West Linton where we enjoyed them with bacon and maple syrup, and very delicious they were too!
The building is over 200 years old and before that time there was an even older building erected solely for collection the tolls along the drove road from Scotland going South. Cattle used to be transported along these drove roads over the centuries towards the markets in England.
