The punks are back

Due to some nonsense bus-catching this morning (the back of the bus said one number, I ran on to it, sat down and realised it wasn't that bus after all), I caught the train to Blackfriars and walked along the north Thames path to the Strand. The sun was shining and I was more than happy to see the cormorants back on their fishing posts, strutting their punk feather dos. The punkiest of them wasn't working for the camera, so here's a balletic pose from one that's yet to get a feather-do.

I had lunch with a friend who told me that she's due to have a baby in August. That's very exciting news!
