Sleeping Beauty

1am, I holler I shout,
daddy comes running,
1.15am I try that again,
daddy comes running,
hmmm I thought, this is interesting,
1.30am I scream my lungs out,
daddy comes running........
1.45 I try again...
Nothing, Nada, hmmmmm
I wait, and wait,
lull them into thinking I am asleep,
245am, I scream and scream,
daddy comes running in,
I smile, I grin, I bounce,
hey daddy wana play,
a bleary eyed daddy picks me up,
takes me downstairs,
yippee this is fun,
milk and toast and mickey mouse at 3am,
I can do this! ignoring daddy on the sofa,
I wreck havoc till 9am, full of beans,
when a mummy comes downstairs,
raising an eyebrow at dopey daddy,
she says coffee anyone?
daddy is stuffed, I am full of it still,
mummy & I play, daddy tries to recover,
11am, I start to grumble,
I clamber onto mummy, I snuggle in tight,
before she knows what is happening,
I'm fast asleep, so daddy takes half hour too!!
it wasn't long before I was bouncing again,
I am currently trying to give mummy my coat,
but she is not taking the hint,
think I am going to have to work harder,
to get her under thumb, unlike daddy!!!
