not very helpful

I go with my mum ( in her wheelchair) every week to ocean terminal, which is great , really handy for the shops, etc....Except the automatic doors designed specifically for wheelchair users. Why do you have to press a button to open these doors, yet other sliding doors open, hey presto, no bother at all.
Maybe its just me but i find it a bit silly, as does my mum!!
