Naughty mic

Jacqui, Catharine and I went to the Isis Farmhouse this evening for a poetry reading/story telling/ short film/ music evening. It was partly a celebration for World Book Week. Isis a great pub which you can only reach on foot along the towpath. This evening was advertised as "a bit like a sunday newspaper". And that's exactly what it was like - a bit of everything. There was a poet who read her poem about her walk to school as a child in the '70s - genius!

This naughty microphone just did not want to play the game and as a result it all kicked off about an hour late. Good for custom at the bar and good for those of us who needed to relax.

I was really proud of myself for plucking up the courage to ask to take a photo of the mic at the end of the evening. But I didn't have enough courage to take a 2nd (focused) pic!
