Project
Steven took a load of stuff to the dump the other day and (as usual) came back with something, this abandoned bike. Minus a front wheel and with pretty much all moveable parts rusted to immobility he reckoned that it might make a good 'project' for him and number one son to work on together.
Today they've happily been taking it to bits and diagnosing the work to be done. To my expert eye it looks like pretty much everything but the frame needs replaced but they reckon some of it is salvageable with some hard work and ingenuity.
I have a feeling that this project might end up costing as much as a new bike but if it keeps them happy and some handy skills are learnt in the process, then why not!
Apologies for the rather dodgy cut out but there was so much going on the background of our cluttered shed that you could barely make out the frame.
