Cat and mouse

we have a mouse - a small, brown furry one - not a black tin one. I keep hearing it scrabbling about behind the skirting and last night it came out, bold as anything and scurried across the front of the fireplace. Haven't seen, or heard it today. Either the sonic device is working or this cat is scaring it away. Live in hope!
