chillin' out
Amelie and I had a lovely day and as soon as she woke (at 8, although in bed with us) she was in a great mood with no temperature or sign of illness. Chris went to work (doing so many nights, this is something Amelie isn't used to and it upset her quite a bit) and we pottered around all morning. She was happy to just play and help me with things and we listened to some music and had a dance as well!! I kept meaning to put her down for a nap but she just didn't need one and eventually when we went out in the afternoon she fell asleep in the buggy. I took this rare opportunity to have a cup of tea and an almond croissant in Waitrose before doing some shopping and heading back when she finally woke at 4. She was being such a little comedian all day - the smoke detectors battery needs replacing (but it is also connected to the mains so we're not really sure what to do with it!) and every time it beeped she looked at me with a shocked expression on her face as the first time she had done it I had laughed. She just loves to make people laugh and will do things repeatedly just to get that precious laugh. And because she is so funny, she always gets it.
In the picture she is wearing a little white jacket that her Nana knitted for her when she was born...I sqeezed her into it in the hope of pretending she is still a baby.
