Self-portrait, clowning like a Poulbot!

The poster shows Dutchborn Canadian photographer Kryn Taconis' photo of a petit poulbot (street child of Montmartre) at the circus, Paris, 1953.

Taconis started as an underground photographer during the winter hunger in German occupied Amsterdam. He later joined the famous Magnum photo coop agency. His archives are preserved in the Library and Archives of Canada.

I curated a retrospective photo exhibition of his work in 1989 of which this was the poster.
