i feel so far from where i've been

my alarm clock went off this morning at six.
my internet and cable were off as well, leaving me disconnected from the world.
i snapped this picture, then sucked in my breath as i walked out of my house into the tundra that is michigan.
got in my car via the front passenger side door (the rest were frozen shut) and drove to school only to find that it had been canceled.
oh well. i had good chat with the janitor.
