Accomplishment!

I started Thai reading and writing classes this past week. This is my first sentence ever written in Thai. It was quite an accomplishment!

We haven't even learned half of the 44 consonants and 32 vowels yet, so we had a limited choice of vocabulary. The sentence says, "Grandfather looks (at) crab." Phonetically you would read something like, "Dtaa du bpu." Thai sentence structure is quite different from English, so it's a full sentence even though it only has the 3 words.
