....I am your brother.......
I have no brothers but the Boss has three. This is the youngest of the three.
He dropped over to see us tonight for the quiz. (We won....again....another £20 for next week.)
He's a firefighter now and a driving instructor and he's also doing something with the RAF. He used to be in the Royal Marines, joined straight from school. He saw action on four occasions, so he's seen some things in his time. He also had the job of guarding our nuclear subs up in Scotland.
He's the nicest bloke you could meet, God father to the Son and Heir and favourite uncle of both of my kids.
When the Boss's Mum was 70 we bought her a helicopter flight for her present. On the day the family turned up and off she went into the wide blue yonder over Oldham and Uppermill and all the places she'd grown up. When she got back to earth, as it was Father's Day we paid to send the Boss's dad on a short 5 minute trip. Bro here decided he wanted to go as well. " Hang on a minute," we said, "You're in the Marines. You've been in loads of helicopters, almost every day." "Yeah," he grinned, "but it's worth the money" "Why?" we asked.
"First I get to be strapped in by one of those blondes," he said, "And second, I've taken off in loads of choppers but I've never landed in one, I always have to jump or abseil out!"
Blokes , eh?
